401A NEW APPROACH TO PORTRAITURE
Dates: July 23 – 27 (5 Days) 1 to 3:30pm
Instructor: Sally Glanville
Develop your skills in drawing by focusing on the face.
That face might be 3 years old or 8 times that age. Working from live models turn your subject into a frameable item.
5 sessions, 2 1/2 hrs ea, 3 with model
Materials will vary
according to student’s preferences, but might include chalk pastels and coloured
pencils, vine and compressed charcoal,
kneadable erasers, and watercolour washes.
402A PAINTING LANDSCAPES FOR ADULTS - Beginners
Dates: July 30 – August 2 (4 days) 7:00-9:30pm
Instructor: Bruce Outridge
This course will focus on creating landscapes with various media. You may choose to work with dry or wet media. Techniques will be introduced to create art of your favourite landscapes using photographs. Create your own paintings from your vacations or favourite locations.

HANDBUILDING AND THE WHEEL (all levels)

During these six weeks you will
learn some of the basics of making pottery using the time honoured methods of
handbuilding and throwing on the wheel.
Basic decorating and glazing techniques will also be taught.
