Students must provide their own supplies.
Table covers are mandatory and are the responsibility of the students.
Note:
No turpentine/linseed oil based solvents will be permitted.
Oil painters must clean their brushes with
vegetable oil or soap & water.
Alternately, water-based oil paints are available at all art suppliers.

PLEIN AIR PAINTING

What is Plein Air painting? The term comes from the French en plein air, meaning 'in the open air'. This outdoor painting workshop is a unique opportunity to paint en plein-air at the historical Soverign House on top of Bronte Bluffs. Painting on location hones your powers of observation and helps to create a very personal style of interpreting nature. Please be pre-pared to work outdoors. ( Sun Block, Hat, Water, Folding Chair, Portable Easel and snack)

During these 5 weeks you will learn some of the basics of making pottery using the time honoured methods of hand-building and throwing on the wheel. Basic decorating and glazing techniques will also be taught. Cost includes 1 bag of clay, glazing and firing.
