Marguerite Broten
Marguerite Broten, Canadian potter and Oakville resident is a Saskatchewan native. She first developed her love of clay in Alberta and for more than 25 years she has continuously strived to increase her knowledge and improve her skills. Her work reflects the functional heritage of pottery and her design techniques are used to create unique pieces of art as well as pottery. She has studied with outstanding Canadian potters. Her firing skills include oxidation-reduction, oxidation, raku and primitive firings. Eager to spread her enthusiasm and talent she can be found teaching at numerous venues in her community.

Sharane Gilbert
For over twenty years, Sharane has had a love/hate relationship with watercolour; so she has recently renewed a earlier interest in oils. She is primarily an "alla prima" painter, just finishing up in the studio. It's always the immediacy of the subject matter that inspires me. For me it is all about process, colour, line texture and shape; the physical thing of making your mark. Sharane's work has won awards in juried shows and is on display at several venues in Oakville and Burlington.
