As part of the Oakville Art Society's mandate is to bring art to the Oakville community, classes are conducted year round for adults of all ages and skill levels, and for children 7 years and up.

Membership in the art society is not required but is appreciated, as the OAS then becomes your art society. Your membership allows you to have a voice in what courses will be offered to you and your family. Membership also offers discounts on our adult classes as well as other benefits.

All our teachers are experienced artists who have made a special time commitment to bring you the best of their expertise and to help you develop as artists in the media of your choice. Whether you are new to art, or have experience, you will benefit from the accumulated knowledge and skill of each of our teachers.

Class size is limited. Registrations will be processed in order of receipt.

Fall and winter sessions are 8 or 10 weeks for adults and 8 weeks for children.

In the spring, adult classes are 8 weeks and 6 weeks for children.

Adult courses run for 2 1/2 - 3 hours and the children's classes 2 hrs.

During the summer, mornings are for children, with classes conducted in pottery, drawing, painting or cartooning on a weekly (5 day) basis.

All classes are held at 560 Bronte Road, at Speers Road, Oakville.

Payments can be made by cheque, cash, credit card or Paypal.
We accept Visa and MasterCard by phone and payment MUST accompany registration.

Classes:

In the event that the required number of registrants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the class up to one day prior to the starting date. Due to the nature of our operation there will be absolutely no refunds given one week prior to the starting date of a class. Payments for classes cancelled by the OAS will be fully refunded. Refunds due to the withdrawal of a student will be subject to a $20.00 administration fee.

Workshops:

A refund, less $25.00 administrative fee, will be issued if you withdraw from a workshop 14 days prior to the first day of class. If withdrawal is made after this date, the total registration fee is non-refundable. There will be no discounts, refunds, credits or transfers for classes not attended. A full refund will be issued if there is insufficient enrollment or if OAS cancels the class.
