JAYNE CANGEMI - Jayne started out with drawing classes at the Oakville Art Society in 1999, quickly moving into watercolour. She is fascinated by the watercolour ‘negative painting’ style. The shapes and colour in the underpainting often tell her how to proceed to bring out the subject matter. She has exhibited in many Oakville and Mississauga venues. LESLIE COCHRANE – Leslie was educated at OCAD & York University (graduated Fine Arts Honours). The recipient of many awards, her work is in numerous private & corporate collections. She has shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and her paintings have been published by Posters International. Throughout almost twenty years with the OAS, Leslie has gained a reputation for her highly effective teaching methods. LUCY ERSKINE – has been an internationally renowned jewellery artisan for more than thirty years. Her unique creations have been displayed in many prominent juried shows and gallery exhibitions. Students appreciate her enthusiasm and enjoy learning her distinctive, refined wire art techniques. DONNA FRATESI - This award winning artists current work expresses her fascination with colour, form and light. She wants the viewer to experience the same emotional response to the painting as she had painting it. Although she works in other mediums, her first love will always be watercolour for its amazing properties that bring to life the vibrancy and emotions of the scene. CHERYL HAILSTONE – Graduate of OCAD’S Fine Arts program. Cheryl is an experienced artist and teacher. She believes that good drawing skills are the basis of a good painting. Her own specialty is commissioned portraiture. SCOTT MACQUARRIE — An award-winning photojournalist, Scott shoots event, editorial, travel, portraits, and commercial work for clients worldwide. He has been awarded the CPP by the Professional Photographers of America and has exhibited work at the National Salon of the Professional Photographers of Canada. See more of his work at www.zwcx.com. GAIL MOWAT– An award-winning artist and a highly respected instructor, Gail has taught classes and workshops for over 30 years. She has taken Master classes with well known Canadian and American artists. Her work is found in private and corporate collections in Europe, United States and Canada. JUTTA (JUDY) MAYER-GRIEVE - is an Honours Graduate of The Ontario College of Art and Design University. Judy has worked as an Illustrator and Award Winning Graphic Designer before teaching Digital Art and Fine Art.Her work is represented by the Art Gallery of Ontario, Hamilton Art Gallery and Burlington Art Centre. SHELLEY PRIOR - Shelley's passion for nature is evident in much of her work, but she also enjoys painting portraits, landscapes and still lifes too. She attended Sheridan College in Oakville and Dundas Valley School of Art and for the past 18 years has taught watercolour and acrylic painting throughout Ontario. Her work has been seen in several local juried shows and has won local and international awards. HEIDI ROHDE - a Burlington Artist who taught Visual Arts for many years and now enjoys painting full time, both in the studio and outdoors, en plein air. Landscape, particularly the Escarpment is a favourite subject. She enjoys working in pastels, watercolour and acrylic. She is Vice President of Pastel Artists Canada. ANDREA SEIBT - A marine biologist turned visual artist Andrea captures the beauty of marine life, the amazing colours and reflections of the underwater environment, on canvas. Her paintings are based on reality, but intertwined in her art is fantasy and imagination. A hands-on teacher Andrea shares her enthusiasm and knowledge for art. She has had several solo and group shows. RHONDA THIBODEAU – is a graduate of Sheridan College’s School of Crafts and Design. She is currently a full time potter in the Burlington area. Her work experience includes teaching adults and children to produce glaze ready wares while educating them on the process of making ceramics. KIRSTY WILSON - received a Bachelor's of Education in Fine Art with a concentration in Ceramics from the University of Toledo, Ohio. She has also studied Ceramic Design at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland and is currently working on a Post-Graduate Program at the Dundas Valley School of Art. She is an experienced teacher of children and adults and loves to share her enthusiasm of ceramics.
